SIBS, GSE, Special Parents, Special Grandparents
SIBS (Super Important Brothers & Sisters)
SIBS is a program designed for children aged between 5 and 12 years, who have a brother or sister with cancer.
The group aims to offer siblings access to support when they need it as issues arise, and encourages peer supprt and friendships between the children in the group.
The group sessions alternate between a 'home' session - designed to offer emotional support and understanding of specific issues facing siblings of children with cancer (in a fun environment), and an 'away' session which involves an exursion.

Bereavement support is offered through the following support groups:
GSE (Great Sibling Escape)
GSE is a program designed for children aged between 5 and 12 years, who have experienced the death of a brother or sister from cancer. The children meet together to have fun with other children who 'understand', and to explore feelings around their loss.

SPECIAL PARENTS
Special Parents is a program designed for parents who have experienced the death of a child from cancer. The parents meet together bi-monthly with other parents who share the grief of losing their own child through cancer and who 'understand' to explore feelings around their loss.
SPECIAL GRANDPARENTS
Special Grandparents is a program designed for grandparents who have experienced the death of a grandchild from cancer. The grandparents meet together bi-monthly with other grandparents who share the grief of losing their own grandchild through cancer and who 'understand' to explore feelings around their loss.
