Recent grants and funding received by Childhood Cancer Association

Bluey Day Foundation - October 2009

Thank you to the Bluey Day Foundation for their recent grant to assist with the purchase of our Family & Pamper Packs.  Family Packs are provided to every family when a child is diagnosed with cancer and contains a range of practical and emotional items for the child and their family.  A Pamper pack is provided to families when a child relapses and includes pampering gifts and items that create lasting memories.  We sincerely thank the Bluey Day Foundation for their generous donation.

The Coopers Brewery Foundation - October 2009

Thank you to the Coopers Brewery Foundation for their grant to support our Home Tutor Scheme.  Home tutoring enables children to keep up with their studies, so as not to fall too far behind their peers and greatly assists with their transition back into school once they are well enough.  Thank you to the Coopers Brewery Foundation Board for their generous donation.

The Australian Executor Trustees - October 2009

Thanks also to the Australian Executor Trustees for their distribution from their Discretionary Charitable Trusts, to support our Home Tutor Scheme. With the additional funding we will be able to extend our Home Tutor Scheme to reach even more children living with cancer in 2010.  We sincerely appreciate the support of AET and thank the Discretionary Charitable Trusts Committee.

The Crows Foundation - September 2009

The Childhood Cancer Association is thrilled to receive a grant from the Crows Foundation, to help us deliver our Hospital Visitation Program.  Each year we make over 1000 visits to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital to support children with cancer and their families.  Through the Hospital Visitation Program, our trained councillors identify the needs of the children and their families and develop early intervention strategies to meet those needs.  These include referrals to the programs offered by CCA, as well as other service providers.  We congratulate the work of the Crows Foundation and thank the Board of Directors for their generous donation.
