GARRICK CCA GOLF DAY

  

The Garrick Charity golf day, to raise funds for the Childhood Cancer Association, was held at Mount Lofty Golf course on Friday 20th November 2009.

This is the 13th year Mike and Deb Garrick have organised the event to support CCA.
108 players participated in the day and 118 people attended the lunch afterwards.  We are thrilled to announce that a record total of $9,000 was raised on the day, bringing the overall total raised from this event to $83,286. 
Congratulations to the winners on the day, the Fujitsu team: Cameron Collie, Alex Kennedy, Matthew Bell & Brenton Hillary.

ONKASTOMPACOMPA 5

The 5th Annual Onkastompacompa was held on Sunday 8th November at Perrys Bend, Onkaparinga River. 

Congratulations to Mark Mills, all the sponsors and participants on the day, for raising a total of $2955.30 for the Childhood Cancer Association.

CATHEDRAL DELI COFFEE PROMOTION

Thank you to Mauro & Di from the Cathedral Deli in North Adelaide, for once again donating 50c from every cup of coffee sold, during the month of October.  We were thrilled to receive a total of $664.00 from the promotion this year!  This is the 3rd year the Cathedral Deli have supported us with this promotion, with the assistance of Pura Milk and Griffiths Coffee.  The Cathedral Deli is located on the corner of King William Road and Kermode Streets, North Adelaide.


2009 APEX OUTBACK POSTIES

Over $30,000 raised for Childhood Cancer Association

The 3rd Annual Apex Outback Postie Ride was held from Friday 18th September – 21st September 2009. 27 enthusiastic riders, each with their former Australia Post Honda scooter – only modified with a long-range fuel tank and off-road tyres, spent 4 days travelling the South Australian outback in support of the Childhood Cancer Association. The team left Pt Augusta on Friday morning and travelled to Parachilna, Arkaroola and Blinman before returning to Pt Augusta on Monday afternoon.

FLIGHT TRAINING ADELAIDE RAISES OVER $5,000 FOR THE CHILDHOOD CANCER ASSOCIATION

 
Thank you to Flight Training Adelaide (FTA) who recently handed over a cheque to the Childhood Cancer Association for $5152.00.
 
The funds were raised during a quiz night organised by FTA staff. For every dollar employees and friends raised, FTA matched the same amount.
 
Pine Pienaar, FTA’s CEO said “We are extremely proud of our association with the Childhood Cancer Association.   We hope that the funds raised by the college and employees will help in some way kids diagnosed with cancer and their families. 
 
I would like to thank our employees for their effort in organising the event and for their generosity in raising these funds. I look forward to our continued relationship with the Childhood Cancer Association.”

NIGHT OF THE STARS BALL - SATURDAY 8TH AUGUST 2009

   

Thank you to Rhett & Kym English of The Dance Gallery at Torrensville, for supporting the Childhood Cancer Association with their Annual Night of the Stars Ball.This year’s event, held at the Wonderland Ballroom in Hawthorn was another memorable night.Rhett & Kym have been running this event for more than 15 years, during which time they have raised approximately $35,000 for the Association.

This year’s event raised a total of $3,097 – thank you Rhett & Kim for your generous, ongoing support.

Thanks to On the Run and C Coffee, $1 from every coffee sold at St Mary's On the Run, on Friday 31st July was donated to the Childhood Cancer Association.A total of $500 was raised on the day and we hope to make this an annual event with additional stores involved next year.A special thanks to John and Walid for organising this fundraiser and for donating their time on the day.Pictured above: John Byrne & Walid Moughelbay

WILD FRONTIER CHARITY NIGHT


On the 25th July 2009 the Annual Wild Frontier Charity night was held in support of the Childhood Cancer Association.Held at the Burnside Community Centre, the Police Dixie Jazz Band and dancers from Tea Tree Gully Primary school entertained the guests.

COMMONWEALTH BANK CASUAL DAY FOR CHILDHOOD CANCER

 
All branches of the Commonwealth Bank across the state recently held a casual day to raise funds for the Childhood Cancer Association. 
 
Thank you to Tony George, Branch Manager of Murray Bridge Commonwealth Bank for initiating this. 
 
The branches collectively raised a total of $1867.90 for the Association.
