Outback Postie Bike Ride

This year's Apex Outback Postie Bike Ride will be held from 3rd – 6th September 2010.

More than 50 keen riders will travel in excess of 1,000 km in 4 days, on their Honda CT110 Postie Bike’s. The journey will take them through the picturesque Flinders Ranges & Outback South Australia, over some of the toughest & most challenging off road terrain South Australia has to offer.

The purpose of the ride is to raise funds for the Childhood Cancer Association, South Australia’s key organisation, dedicated to providing emotional, practical and financial support to families in need.

Each year, more than 60 children in South Australia will be diagnosed with cancer, and an average of 12 will relapse.  Up to a third of the families supported by Childhood Cancer Association each year, are from country regions.

Proceeds from the 2010 Apex Outback Postie Bike Ride will help the Childhood Cancer Association to continue to support country families, by providing free accommodation at their Michael Rice Units in Prospect, Adelaide.

The annual Apex Outback Postie Bike Ride commenced in 2007, and since then has raised in excess of $74,000 to support the Childhood Cancer Association.

In 2010, Apex will be aiming for a record fundraising total, thanks to a significant increase in the number of participants.  Riders are required to raise a minimum of $500 to participate in the ride.

The impact of cancer on children and their families is incredible. The effect on country families is even greater. Apex encourages you to help them support these country families in their greatest time of need.
